Easy Ways to Machine-less Fitness

I’m often asked what to do for exercises if a person gets trapped away from civilized life. You know, without electricity, fitness clubs with televisions, mechanical devices, etc. what’s left to exercise with? You can lose 20 pounds without anything but you and your weight.

You might think this is a wilderness situation, but it can also reflect the conditions at home or at a hotel room.Amazingly, it is possible to stay fit, lose fat, and build muscle in the absence of gadgets and gear.

The simple fact is that the mass of your body can be leveraged to your advantage.To illustrate an effective method to train, I’m giving you one of my routines here.

#1 – A rapid motion drill such as the jump-jack or the stationary run.

Two: Squatting with hands raised for stretching the upper back.

Three: Push up variations that are easy to do. Get some more suggestions from a weight loss forum.

Four: 1-leg routines such as the lunge.

Five: Top back exercises from pull-ups, chin-ups, inverse-rows, or dumbbell row.

Six: One-leg movements like a squatting split.

Eight: Choose a quick moving drill like burpees, jumpropes, or sprints to wrap up. Go through all 8 moves with a number of repetitions without resting as if it were one long sequence.

You should repeat this series 2-3 cycles. You want to make sure you get a good workout that stresses your body, but you don’t want to overdo it either.

A novice should only attempt the series one time until your body gets used to the movement.

You won’t need to be stuck on an island to benefit from this kind of routine: you can do it right now. You’ll also enjoy experiencing rapid weight loss.

Back in my younger days, I trained hard almost every day and played sports too.We weren’t aware that doing that much could cause irreversible harm to our bodies. Injury will halt rapid weight loss.

Now that I’m older and aware of the implications of over-doing it, I see people acting a lot like I did long ago. What happens when you push yourself too hard is that you get hurt and then you’re sidelined for life.

One thing is for sure: cardiovascular exercise has an evil aspect to it that causes harm to the body and nothing in the way of fat loss. When people see that cardio’s not helping them, they often respond by doing it harder and longer in hopes of getting some results.

You’re headed for trouble. The cardiovascular and even the interval workouts shouldn’t be done more than 4 days out of seven.

The same thing goes for weights: only work with them 4 times a week The bottom line is that you need to exercise caution when it comes to your fitness program. Don’t get hurt trying to lose 20 pounds.

So, here are some hints that can help you stay well as you exercise.

One: Do exercises that you understand and can do in proper form.

Two: If you feel pain, stop. If a particular drill hurts, then get a pro to help you find a different move to try.

Three: When trying some new things, use very easy weights until you learn proper form and adequately work through any initial pain.

Four: Take extra rest or recovery time if you think you need it. If you don’t you could get hurt.
