Lose Belly Fat Diet – LoCarb Or Low Fat

Posted by on Friday, 23 July, 2010

The general public incorrectly believe a low fat diet is the way to lose belly fat.  Many research has proven that a locarb diet is indeed more effective for belly fat loss.

From the early 70s, Americans reduced their fat intake from forty percent to 34%.  Yet, the obesity epidemic has been rising steeply since it commenced in the early 1980′s.  Why?

Excessive consumption of carbs.
Our primal ancestors lived on a hunters-gatherers diet of basically beef, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.  Grain was not even part of human diet till rural started about 10,000 years back.  The rise in human population and decrease in hunted large game made it mandatory for humans to adopt agriculture.

The evolution of human diet from mainly animal sources to grain products ( refined carbohydrates ) has led straight to a fall in the quantity and quality of human life.  Illnesses and conditions such as diabetes, obesity and heart problems which were once non-existent, are now common.

Take a look at your existing diet.  Are you consuming tons of refined carbohydrates such as breads, pastas, cereals, cakes, biscuits and sugar?  Excess consumption of refined carbs prevents stored body fat from being used as energy.  The body becomes evolved to burning sugar as fuel and forgets the simple way to burn fat.

Everyone needs some carbohydrates.  In the body, carbs are converted into glucose as a main source of energy for the brain.  New glucose is stored as glycogen in the liver and muscles.  Only the glycogen in the liver can be converted back to glucose to be used by the brain when necessary.

The body has limited capacity for storing carbs.  Although the muscles can store more glycogen than the liver, its reserves can’t be broken down when energy is required by the brain.  Once the glycogen reserves are full, excess carbs are converted into fat.

Eating a high carb meal may cause a spike in glucose levels.  This prompts the pancreas to release insulin into the bloodstream to lower the glucose levels.  The bad news is insulin is a fat storage hormone.  It tells the body to store excess carbohydrates as fat.  Fluctuation in blood sugar levels causes cravings for more carbs and hence, more fat storage replying to insulin.

Hard Abs – What’s The Secret?

Posted by on Sunday, 27 June, 2010

Do you envy those people at the beach, with their washboard abs?  Are you afraid to take off your shirt in public, due to the shape of your midsection?  What if I told you that it’s
possibly for anyone to realize incredible rock hard abs?  It’s true – With a little bit of work and dedication, you too can have the same beach bod that you envy.  You can not be frightened to show off your stomach!

So, what’s the secret?  It’s not really just “one secret”, but basically a combination of things that may help you in achieving the look you once thought was not possible.  For you are body to burn fat, you want 2 things : diet and exercise.  When exercise and diet is combined and used together as a force, you will be amazed at how you can turn your body into a fat burning
machine!

In order to get your body burning more fat, you need to take in less calories that you are burning.  To do that effectively, an {glorious great} start is to cut your calories slowly, week by week.  Also, you wish to eat five to six tiny meals per day to hurry up this process.  This hikes up your
metabolism ( which helps you burn fat ).  The higher your metabolic rate means the more calories you’ll burn.  In fact, if you raise your metabolism, you’ll be burning more calories while you are at rest!

when you get your diet in order, you want an exercise routine to go with it.  A good exercise for abs is kneeling crunches.  You’ll need special equipment to perform this exercise.

This is where you kneel and contract your abs so that your higher body arches
Forward / downward.  You hold a rope attached to a pulley with weights for additional resistance.  Most gymnasiums will have a rope attachment to the triceps pull down to perform this exercise.  The idea is to lock your arms against your higher body so that you pull down only with your abs and not your arms.Don’t overdo your exercises or overwork yourself.

The issue in obtaining great abs isn’t so much building the muscle.  It’s cutting enough fat from your body for them to show.  You know by now that spot-reduction of fat simply does not work here.  To show those abs you need overall fat loss.

If you want detailed action plan of that blueprint guiding you everyway to get six pack abs, go here how to get abs.

Get Slit Muscles With No Heavy Weights

Posted by on Wednesday, 12 May, 2010

Are you thinking how to get big ripped muscles without heavy weights? But I am telling you that it is very much possible. And the good news is that you don’t even need to go on dieting as well. All you are supposed to do is lose some fat and tone up your muscles. Just doing those push ups or lifting tons of weight will not give you the desired look instead you need to work out on both your fat level and then toning up your muscles would be of some.

Most of the people believe that ‘high reps’ shape the muscle and that ‘low reps’ build muscle. And let me tell you this is not true! You need to lose fat and then tone your muscles. Most of the gym rats believe that fitness equipment weight can make give them their desired look but I know it is not true. Lifting weight just contracts your muscle, it just does nothing more than this. The only thing it can do is to tone up your muscles according to the weight.

Now you would be thinking how to lose fat? Do we need to go hungry? My answer as above is absolutely not. I personally can’t stand to eat tiny meals all the time, plus it isn’t really practical. My advice- try to keep your calorie intake throughout your entire day low, when you are trying to get lean.

There are many people who spend their ages going to gym but can see no results. The reason is that all they are doing is weight lifting and some running on treadmill. I must tell you that weight lifting will not be of any help to you, you need to combine it with more of cardio.

It really does not take much of weight lifting to keep the muscle volume you already have and the cardio is going to reduce any fat and make your muscle look that much better.

Another way to have those ripped muscles and lose fat is to take extremely healthy food. It is always seen that the results with raw food are very good. Add lots of raw fruits and vegetable to your daily diet as the fat they contain is natural fat and does not harm you. But frying takes away the natural fat and add harmful fat to the food and make it even more harmful for the whole body. The finest raw foods include Apple, Pineapple, Carrot, Onion, and Cauliflower.

If you lower down on oily food and add more or vegetables and fruits in your diet, you will see amazing difference in your body.

Tips For Creating A Healthy Lifestyle

Posted by on Saturday, 27 March, 2010

When a person decides to get healthy, they often find that there are many methods and techniques that either ‘must be done’ or are guaranteed to work within a few days. The key to achieving a healthy lifestyle is to find the program that works best for you and stick with it. A person who wants to being living healthy must first develop a habit for making healthy choices, dieting and exercising in a way that they can live with.

Talking to professionals who have knowledge and expertise in the type of diet and exercise that will be most effective for you will be valuable. By visiting a holistic spa you can get the advice and information you need to design an effective program that will have lasting results. It is important to learn your diet and exercise options. Starting the program that is effective will be one that is adaptable and flexible.

There are many choices available when a person wants to find out how to lose fat. A person who is highly motivated when they see visual results early, may want to incorporate an exercise program that focuses on the problem areas of the body. Doing focused exercises tones and conditions problem areas and provides visual results more quickly than a general exercise program that conditions the entire body. While the same number of calories are being burned with either focused or general conditioning exercises, a person will be able to see the results of focused exercises more quickly.

Focusing on the areas where you want to lose inches will include the use of fitness home gym equipment or exercises that are aimed directly at problem areas. When an exercise program is implemented that is focused the results are seen more rapidly than a general overall exercise program that is burning calories and toning all of the muscle groups.

Starting an exercise program slowly will make it easier to develop an exercise habit. When people begin walking regularly they are able to develop a habit to exercise on a daily basis much more easily. Walking conditions the overall body and increases the cardio. When a person has developed the habit for exercising a more formal program can easily be incorporated into your daily activities.

By doing fifteen minutes of exercise focused on the problem areas, and fifteen minutes of exercise that is devoted to overall toning and conditioning, you can achieve significant results within a few weeks. Many people who have developed the habit of exercising thirty minutes per day find that they can see results much more quickly than trying to work formal exercise into their schedule at a gym or other location.

Making the changes necessary to live a healthy lifestyle will be easy if you begin gradually and develop a few new habits. By selecting healthy food alternatives and gradually eliminating fats, carbs, and other bad foods from your diet you will find that the ability to diet is much easier. When a person is eating a proper diet and exercising daily, the overall results will be good health and a fit body.
